Police arrest suspects in Jasper burglariesApril 19, 2013

JASPER — The Jasper Police Department made arrests Thursday afternoon in connection with residential burglaries in the city earlier this month.
Alex D. Plake, 18, of 314 W. 14th St., and a 17-year-old male whom authorities are not identifying because he is a juvenile are charged with three Class B felony counts of residential burglary and one Class B felony count of attempted residential burglary. Plake was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:20 p.m. Thursday.
Police said those charges stem from an ongoing investigation by Jasper police and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said Plake and the juvenile are charged with an April 2 burglary in the 1400 block of Dewey Street and an attempted burglary that same day in the 2600 block of Dewey Street, an April 5 burglary in the 400 block of west Ninth Street and an April 11 burglary in the 1400 block of Greene Street.
Items taken during the burglaries included electronic devices, XBox and Playstation 3 games, computers, TVs, jewelry and cash.
