JASPER — Police arrested a speeding motorist for multiple offenses Saturday night.
A Jasper Police Department officer stopped a Mitsubishi Lancer at 9:35 p.m. at 15th Street and Kellerville Road after allegedly clocking the car traveling at 65 mph in the 35 mph zone.
An investigation determined the driver, Juan G. Mejia Reyes, 20, Indianapolis, had never been licensed and did not have valid insurance for the vehicle.
Authorities booked Mejia Reyes into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:29 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and driving while having never been licensed. He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility and speeding.
