Police arrest man outside Jasper nursing home

JASPER — Police arrested one individual after being called Thursday morning to the report of an irate man attempting to get inside Cathedral Health Care Center.
The Jasper Police Department responded to the 520 W. Ninth St. facility at 10:30 a.m.
Officers who investigated determined Steven M. Blount, 46, 9221 E. Railroad St., Velpen, had broken an exterior window and made threats to Cathedral staff.
Authorities booked Blount into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:43 a.m. Thursday on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony intimidation and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
