HUNTINGBURG — Indiana State Police arrested Eric B. Crowe, 25, of Evansville on Monday afternoon on cocaine and marijuana charges.
Acting on a tip about drug activity, a trooper and his K-9 partner, along with a Farbest Foods security officer, contacted Crowe in the Farbest Foods parking lot off County Road 400W and found a grey sock on the ground where he had just walked. Inside the sock was a white powder and plant material, according to authorities.
Police said the white powder field tested positive for cocaine and the plant material field tested positive for marijuana.
Authorities arrested Crowe and booked him into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:50 p.m. on a Level 5 felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession. A Level 5 felony under Indiana’s new criminal code was a Class C felony prior to July 1.
