JASPER — A report to authorities about a suspicious female ultimately resulted in a shoplifting arrest Saturday morning.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 11:02 a.m. to the report of a suspicious woman at a north-side fast food restaurant. Officers located the woman, Patricia K. Wright, 57, 258 Baden Strasse, Jasper, across the highway outside the Dollar General at 4117 Newton St.
Police said Wright was wearing a sweatshirt that still had store tags attached.
Wright was transported to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center for medical clearance and was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of theft, according to police.
