Police accuse woman of theft, drug offenses

JASPER — Police arrested a woman and accused her of theft and drug offenses Thursday.

Kimberly R. Marsh, 41, Valley Springs, California, is accused of stealing a set of keys on a lanyard Tuesday at Sun Tan City, 4276 Newton St., in an incident captured on security footage.

Marsh was taken into custody Thursday by the Jasper Police Department after she returned to the business. At the time of her arrest, police allegedly found Marsh in possession of methamphetamine, pills classified as a Schedule IV controlled substance and paraphernalia that included a glass pipe with burnt residue and a digital scale.

Authorities booked Marsh into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:31 p.m. on preliminary charges that included a Level 6 felony count of methamphetamine possession and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, theft and possession of paraphernalia.
