Police accuse woman of impaired driving

JASPER — Indiana State Police made an impaired driving arrest Wednesday night after a traffic stop near Brucke Strasse and South Newton Street.

A trooper stopped a 2003 Lexus driven by Jackqueline S. Poole, 57, 568 Sycamore Manor, Jasper, at 10:02 p.m. after observing the vehicle fail to stop at the intersection, make a wide right turn and go left of center.

Police said Poole’s blood alcohol content later tested .116 percent during a certified chemical test at the Jasper Police Station.

Authorities booked Poole into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:05 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
