HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Police Department took a man into custody Wednesday evening, accusing him of felony domestic battery.
Police say the arrest came after a juvenile came to the police station at 6:20 p.m. to report a battery. The female juvenile alleged she had been punched in the arm several times.
The victim declined medical treatment, according to police.
Jason P. Houchins, 44, 511 E. 19th St., was placed into custody after an investigation.
Authorities booked Houchins into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:55 p.m. on a preliminary Level 5 felony count of domestic battery on a victim less than 14 years of age.
