Police accuse man of disorderly conduct near school

From Local Sources

JASPER — An investigation Thursday into a reported no-contact order violation at a Jasper elementary school resulted in an arrest.

The Jasper Police Department was dispatched to Tenth Street Elementary at 2:40 p.m. and came in contact with Richard Hildenbrand, 42, 4060 Wilhelm Strasse.

Police who detained Hildenbrand as officers investigated a possible invasion of privacy said Hildenbrand became belligerent and began screaming in the presence of elementary school children.

Hildenbrand refused to comply with officers’ commands, police alleged, so he was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:48 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. He posted bond that evening.
