Pizza with the Principal

Tenth Street School principal Kent Taylor, left, chats with fifth-grader Elysia Dillman while having lunch at Pizza Hut in Jasper on Wednesday. The top twelve students with the most Accelerated Reader points for the second quarter were rewarded with the lunch, which has been a tradition for the more than two decades that Taylor has been principal. "I really like reading," Elysia said. "I saw this as even more of a reason to read." 

 

Tenth Street School fourth-grader Parker Jahn serves himself a slice of pizza at Pizza Hut in Jasper on Wednesday. In the school cafeteria, students practice restaurant manners, which Principal Kent Taylor encouraged them to use while at Pizza Hut.
