Pine Ridge receives Tools for Schools grant

KYANA — Pine Ridge Elementary School is a recipient of Old National Bank’s Tools for Schools fourth annual grant promotion, a companywide campaign created to help get the school year started right for countless students in need in local communities.

The Kyana school received a $6,000 grant for receiving the most votes of any school. Sixteen schools received $1,000 grants.

The promotion was conducted during September and people were encouraged to visit Old National’s Facebook page to vote for a school to receive a Tools For Schools grant. A voting page was created for each of Old National’s regions throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Total, 112,022 votes were cast for nearly 1,180 schools.
