From Local Sources
FERDINAND — No injuries were reported after two pickup trucks collided Tuesday north of Ferdinand.
Paul Giesler, 52, Ferdinand, was eastbound on County Road 700S in a 2008 Chevrolet truck when the 7:10 a.m. mishap occurred at State Road 162, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Giesler stopped at the highway just as a northbound 2014 Dodge pickup driven by Daniel Schnieders, 32, Ferdinand, attempted to turn west onto County Road 700S, according to a deputy.
The sheriff’s office said Giesler pulled forward just as Schnieders was executing his turn, causing the trucks to collide.
Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Giesler Chevrolet and $3,000 to the Schnieders Dodge.
Both trucks were able to be driven from the scene and no citations were issued.
