From Local Sources
HUNTINGBURG — No injuries were reported after two pickup trucks collided late Wednesday morning at an intersection on Huntingburg’s north side.
Larry B. Moore, 69, Huntingburg, was northbound on Main Street in a 2015 GMC Sierra when the 11:53 a.m. mishap occurred at Old State Road 231, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
More said he had activated his turn signal to make a right turn onto Old State Road 231. When he began to turn, the passenger-side front of his truck was struck by a northbound 2016 Dodge Ram driven by Steven R. Coomer, 61, Huntingburg.
Coomer said he had not seen a turn signal and had tried to pass on the right, thinking Moore was turning left onto 14th Street at the Dairy Queen restaurant.
Total damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
