BRETZVILLE — Police ticketed an Orange County motorist after two pickup trucks collided Monday morning at the Bretzville Junction.
Gordon D. Stout, 55, West Baden Springs, was westbound on State Road 64 in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado when the 6:50 a.m. mishap occurred at State Road 162, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Stout, who told a deputy he did not see there was a traffic signal at the location, attempted to turn left to go south on State Road 162.
The passenger-side front of the Stout Silverado struck the passenger-side rear of a northbound 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Kevin P. Seckinger, 49, St. Meinrad, according to the sheriff’s office.
Total damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
A deputy cited Stout for disregarding an automatic traffic signal.
