FERDINAND — One driver was taken for treatment after a rear-end collision Thursday morning on Ferdinand’s south side.
Amy Collins, 27, Loogootee, was eastbound on West Third Street in a 2014 Nissan Altima when the 6:55 a.m. accident occurred west of Main Street, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Collins slowed to stop for the Main Street intersection and, when she did, her car was rear-ended by a 1998 Dodge Dakota driven by Aaron Nowark, 33, Winslow, according to police.
Police said Collins complained of back pain and was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. A hospital spokeswoman said she was treated and released.
Damage was estimated at $3,500 to the Collins Nissan and $2,500 to the Nowark Dodge.
No citations were issued.
