From Local Sources

JASPER — A teen motorist escaped injury in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday northeast of Jasper.

Josh J. Buschkoetter, 17, Jasper, was southbound on Kellerville Road in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado when the 1:19 a.m. mishap occurred 500 feet south of County Road 400N, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said Buschkoetter over-corrected while driving, sending his truck sliding sideways and into a pole on the east side of the roadway.

The pole did not appear compromised, while damage to the truck was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
