Pickup overturns during accident

HOLLAND — A Huntingburg motorist escaped injury when the pickup truck he was driving overturned Tuesday afternoon northwest of Holland.
Noah D. Goeppner, 18, Huntingburg, was southbound on County Road 800W in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck when the 2:05 p.m. accident occurred south of County Road 700S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Goeppner lost control of the Chevrolet on the gravel roadway and over-corrected several times, according to the sheriff’s office.
The truck left the west side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned and stopped against a Dubois Rural Electric Cooperative utility pole, according to a deputy.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
