Pickup collides with Ferdinand-area deer

FERDINAND — A motorist was able to drive from the scene of a Monday collision with a deer along a county road northeast of Ferdinand.
Kevin Hoffman, Ferdinand, was southbound on Club Road in a 2018 Chevrolet truck when the 10:46 a.m. accident occurred north of County Road 825S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy estimated damage to Hoffman’s truck at $1,500 to $2,000 after it collided with a deer that came onto the roadway.
The deputy was unable to locate the deer at the scene.
