Phyllis M. Mundy, 91, of Ferdinand, passed away, Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.
She was born October 26, 1927, in Welton, Iowa, to Carl and Bernadine (Bloom) Schrader. Phyllis married Linus G. Mundy on October 28, 1947, in St. Anne Catholic Church in Welton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2007.
Phyllis was a member of Christ the King Parish-St. Ferdinand Church. She belonged to Christian Mothers of St. Henry.
Phyllis enjoyed reading and going for walks.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Bob) Mathews of Ferdinand; seven sons, Ronald, Charles, Michael and David Mundy, all of Ferdinand, John Mundy of New Albany, William (Annette) Mundy of Huntingburg and Martin (Carol) Mundy of Jasper; five brothers, Dick (Shirley) Schrader of Fulton, Illinois, and Bill (Carol) Schrader, Kenny (Gloria) Schrader, Steve (Carla) Schrader and John Schrader, all of Iowa; one sister, Teresa (Jim) Salsbury of Iowa; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Linus; two daughters, Mary C. Bean and Bernadine M. Mundy; one sister, Margaret Margeson; and three brothers, Bob, Jim and Paul Schrader.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 6, at 10 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and also Saturday from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
