Patrol officer Donna Abrams of the Ferdinand Police Department helped Rocio, 3, try on a jacket Wednesday morning during the annual Shop with a Cop event at Walmart Supercenter in Jasper. The shopping spree, which benefited 61 children, was sponsored by the local Fraternal Order of Police and funded through donations from local businesses and individuals. The children are all members of Tri-CAP Head Start, a comprehensive preschool program for low-income families.
