Marge Beckman of Jasper worked with fellow Tri-Cap RSVP volunteers Dorothy Hautsch and Lucille Doty, both of Jasper, on Wednesday morning to cut patterns out of fabric to be used to sew sleep sacks. A grant from the Dubois County Community Foundation will pay for the materials for senior volunteers to make 110 of the sacks, which are believed to help lessen the risk of sudden infant death syndrome in infants. The sleep sacks will be handed out by case managers of Tri-Cap’s Healthy Families program to their clients.
