Petersburg man charged with dealing meth

JASPER — A Pike County man appeared Thursday in Dubois Superior Court to answer to a warrant charging him with a Level 4 felony count of dealing methamphetamine.

Zackary A. Wheatley, 28, Petersburg, is charged with dealing 3.9 grams of methamphetamine on April 8 in Dubois County, according to court documents.
The case against Wheatley was investigated by the Jasper Police Department. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
The investigation resulted in a warrant for Wheatley’s arrest being issued Oct. 29.
During Thursday’s appearance, the court entered a preliminary plea of not guilty on Wheatley’s behalf, set his next court appearance for Jan. 10 and released him on his own recognizance.
