DUBOIS — The Northeast Dubois band program is heading back to yet another state finals contest.
The district’s winter percussion ensemble performed well enough Saturday in the Indiana Percussion Association’s Scholastic Concert A prelims to advance to the division’s finals. Northeast Dubois’ winter percussion group is comprised mostly of high schoolers, but also some middle school students.
“We had a solid performance at prelims,” Northeast Dubois band director David Fox wrote in an email. “The performers did a great job of executing all of the things we have been working on, I was very proud of them. The concert percussion class is full of quality groups, I was very excited for us to advance to state finals.”
The winter percussion ensemble will compete at Ben Davis High School on Saturday, March 30, at a time to be determined.
