Gary Nelson of West Baden, left, and his sons, Jacob, 13, and Michael, 15, fish on the Patoka River in Dubois on Thursday. Gary said he used to fish at the same spot as a kid, so he likes to bring his own sons there. “It’s peaceful,” he said. “And there’s big fish if you can get them to bite.”
