Pauline A. Harris, 95, Birdseye
January 20, 2021Pauline A. Harris, 95, of Birdseye, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her residence.

She was born November 16, 1925, in Birdseye, Indiana, to Fred B. and Lula May (Smith) Abell; and married Cecil Charles Harris on June 29, 1963, at the First Pentecostal Church in Birdseye. Pauline was a homemaker and also a caregiver for her granddaughter, Carla Michelle “Missy” Eckert. She was a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Church of Birdseye. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Charles Harris; one daughter, Mary Lou (Dale) Eckert; five brothers; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by one son, Carl “Sonny” (Frances) Steffen of Birdseye; one sister, Mildred (the late Ray) Harris of Huntingburg; two brothers, Harold (Sandy) Abell of Hagerstown and Howard (Delores) Abell of Fortville; (6) grandchildren, (9) great-grandchildren and (2) great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial will follow at Mentor Cemetery. Pastor Bret Eckert will officiate at the service.
