Heritage Hills boys soccer left no doubt as to which team was superior Monday in its first-round sectional matchup.
Leo Martinez tallied a hat trick as the Patriots defeated Evansville Bosse 9-0 in the Class 2A Evansville Memorial Sectional quarterfinals.
Jesus Lara contributed two additional scores for Heritage Hills (13-4). Carson Leibering, Harrison Carpenter and Gannon Staggs each had a goal to round out the scoring against Evansville Bosse (3-12-2).
Cole Mulzer, Philipp Koesters and Carpenter each had an assist in the victory, which sends the Patriots on the semifinals against the host Tigers (14-2-1). That game will take place Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Raiders stumble: In Pocket Athletic Conference volleyball action, Southridge (7-17, 1-6) lost to Gibson Southern in three sets.
In the 25-10, 25-22, 25-16 setback, Kenzie Lubbehusen paced the Raiders with four kills and four blocks to go with two digs. Kenzie Young had a team-high 16 digs in addtion to two kills and an ace in the losing effort. Savanah Goeppner led the team in assists with seven while adding five digs.
Jeeps cruise: Northeast Dubois volleyball (22-4) swept Pike Central in three non-conference sets.
In a 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 result, Adi Denu led with 10 kills and also had four digs, followed by Clare Mangin with eight kills as well as two aces.
Chloe Terwiske had 20 assists and three digs for the Jeeps. Brooklyn Dodd contributed seven digs in the win over the Chargers. Molly Lueken posted three blocks on defense.
