Patriot golf nabs first victory

From Herald Staff Reports

Looking for its first win of the season, the Heritage Hills girls golf team found it Wednesday with Vicki Nelson leading the charge at Lucas Oil Golf Course in English.

Nelson’s score of 49 earned her medalist honors and helped Heritage Hills shoot a 235, besting Crawford County’s 248. Caroline Guth was close behind her teammate Nelson with a 51, which was also better than any score a Crawford County golfer turned in. Katelynn Myers (65), Ally Southwood (70), Kyla Begle (70), Chloe Gideon (71) and Autumn Smith (72) also contributed for the Patriots, who welcome Boonville to Christmas Lake Golf Course today.
