Patoka Lake to host fishing event

PATOKA LAKE — Patoka Lake’s 18th annual “Wheelin’ IN the Fish” will be held at Osborn boat ramp on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free fishing event promotes the accessible features of Patoka Lake for people with disabilities and their families.
The event will have free fishing, free boat rides and free lunch. Everything needed to participate will be provided, from fishing poles to tackle and refreshments, including a free lunch. Certificates and door prizes will be awarded to all participants.
The DNR, Patoka Bass Anglers, and Southern Indiana Center for Independent Living (SICIL) host this annual event. Bring lawn chairs and sunscreen to enjoy the day at Patoka Lake.
Osborn boat ramp is located off State Road 145 two miles north of S.R. 164 and 14 miles south of French Lick. For more information call the Patoka Lake Nature Center at 812-685-2447.
