Pastoral formation workshops announcedFebruary 26, 2020
ST. MEINRAD — The Continuing Formation program at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology will offer two pastoral formation workshops in the coming months.
The “Children of Abraham” workshop will be given by Br. Zachary Wilberding, OSB, on March 26 and 27, beginning at 7 p.m. CT Thursday and concluding at 4 p.m. CT Friday.
In an increasingly divided world, one strategy for peace might be finding what everyone has in common. Three world religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, have their roots in the story of the patriarch Abraham in Genesis. Despite this common root, they have been deeply divided over the centuries. This workshop aims at increasing knowledge of these three Abrahamic faiths and what they have in common.
Br. Zachary will offer a two-day workshop, titled “Prison Ministry.” on April 30 and May 1. The United States incarcerates more people than any other country in the world. This workshop aims to explore who is in prison and how they may be helped by the ministry of Christians.
The workshops can be taken as credit or noncredit courses. Information is available at www.saintmeinrad.edu/continuing-formation/pastoral-formation-workshop/ or by contacting Morgan Simon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
