Passerby assists with tractor fireMay 30, 2019
From Local Sources
HOLLAND — A passerby provided an assist Saturday during a tractor fire north of Holland.
Units of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department responded at 10:04 a.m. to the report of a tractor fire at State Road 161 and Old Road 64.
Fire Chief Adam Chambers said the fire involved a bird’s nest under a tractor’s hood. A passerby stopped and used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames before the department’s arrival.
The damage was minimal, according to the chief.
Two trucks and seven firefighters were on the scene 25 minutes.
