JASPER — Holy Family Parish is collecting hygiene and other items for the Piarist Mission in Eastern Kentucky in an effort to help children and teens in the depressed areas of Appalachia. A collection box will be in the narthex of church from Oct. 19 through  27 for collection of items.

The items needed this year are socks, underwear, gloves and hats for infants through teens and diapers of all sizes.

Items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste and other personal hygiene items are needed. Items should not be wrapped. A list of items needed will be in the narthex of the church.
