Parade celebrates founding of Dale

DALE — The Dale Fall Festival Parade will be held at 2 p.m. CT Saturday, Sept. 8. The theme for the parade is “Town of Dale, Celebrating 175 Years!” Daryl and June Lovell will be the grand marshals for the parade.

Awards will be given in various categories. Cash prizes also will be awarded to the top three entries in the parade as voted on by the judges: $250 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place overall.

The new category this year will be the best decorated golf cart. Those wishing to enter the parade should send their name of entry, type of entry (float, band, horse, walking, and so forth), person to contact and phone number to Bruce Cissna, P.O. Box 296, Dale IN 47523.

Entries should be at the Spencer Industries warehouse, located on Buffaloville Road in the south part of Dale, no later than 12:30 p.m.CT  the day of the parade.
