OWI follows weekend traffic stop

JASPER — A Friday evening traffic stop resulted in a motorist being taken to jail.
A Jasper Police Department officer stopped a 2001 Jeep Laredo at 7:41 p.m. after the driver, Kristen S. Wilkinson, 30, 1102 Ridgewood Drive, Huntingburg, allegedly failed to stop at Third and Newton streets and failed to signal a turn there.
Police said Wilkinson’s blood alcohol content later tested .132% at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Authorities booked Wilkinson into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:27 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
