OWI follows Huntingburg traffic stop

HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Police Department accused a man of impaired driving after a Sunday night traffic stop.

An officer stopped a Jeep driven by Keith E. Souders, 63, 101 Savanna Drive, Huntingburg, at 11:13 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Chestnut Street after observing the northbound vehicle twice cross the roadway’s centerline.

Police said Souders exhibited signs of intoxication and his blood alcohol content tested .13% in a certified test at the Huntingburg Police Station.

Authorities booked Souders into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:50 a.m. Monday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond at 10:26 a.m. Monday.
