From Local Sources
HUNTINGBURG — A Saturday night report about a possibly intoxicated driver ended with an arrest.
The Huntingburg Police Department was notified about a possibly intoxicated man in a white van that was in a business parking lot at Sixth and Main streets at 10 p.m. The 2008 Dodge Caravan went west on State Road 64 and was stopped after a trailing officer observed it go left of center three times.
Police say the driver, Julio C.B. Dominguez, 30, Washington, showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety testing.
Dominguez’s blood alcohol content allegedly tested .20% on a certified test at the Huntingburg Police Station.
Authorities booked Dominguez into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:56 a.m. Sunday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond that afternoon.
