CELESTINE — A motorist was placed into custody after a single-vehicle accident Sunday evening east of Celestine.
Garrett B. Robinson, 43, 288 N. 1025E, Celestine, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado on State Road 164 near State Road 545 when he reported encountering a patch of ice on the highway while entering a curve, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Robinson’s truck left the roadway, struck a fence and stopped in a field in the 8900 block of State Road 164.
The sheriff’s department said Robinson, who allegedly showed signs of impairment, was treated for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, which is where a blood draw placed his blood alcohol content at .081 percent.
Authorities booked Robinson into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:29 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
