OWI accusation follows expired-plate stop

HOLLAND — Police arrested a Holland man for alleged impaired driving after a Monday afternoon traffic stop north of Holland.

An Indiana State Police trooper stopped a northbound 2000 Plymouth on State Road 161 south of Old Road 64 because its license plate was expired.

The trooper determined the driver, Matthew J. Siddons, 35, 507 S. Fifth St., Holland, waas impaired. Police said Siddons’ blood alcohol content tested .20 percent at the Huntingburg Police Station.

Authorities booked Siddons into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:17 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
