A rainbow appeared in the sky just as the Southridge eighth-grade class recognition night began on May 28. It seemed like a sign of encouragement. This was a large class and it was done with in-car distancing.
Jill Booth and daughters Luella and Evelyn of Evansville and Hannah and Eva Polley of Holland visited their grandmother, Delores Hemmer, Wednesday afternoon.
A shepherding program has begun through the church. The program is being used to check on members of the congregation, in these difficult times, to make sure they are doing all right and if they have needs that can be met.
A Mosquito Fest meeting is being held Monday evening to discuss this year’s festival.
The Tin Fest Car Show is scheduled to take place in Stendal at the Lockhart Township Community Center on June 13. Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Trophies will be given. Food will be available. Cars, trucks, tractors or anything with wheels may enter.
