School children are winding down their school year this week. It has certainly been a new experience for them and their teachers. Eighth-grade graduation will be Thursday, May 28, in the Southridge Middle School parking lot. Participants will remain in their cars. Academic awards will be awarded in stages at another time. This also will be an in-car event.
Mother’s Day guests at Meadowtop Farm were Ron and Becky Brockriede, John and Janet Hemmer and Laura Hemmer. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren came by for a window visit.
A Mosquito Fest planning meeting was held Monday evening to move plans along for this year’s festival. The dates for this year are Aug. 7 and 8.
The Tin Fest Auto Show will be held June 13 at the Lockhart Township Community Center in Stendal. Cars, trucks, tractors and anything with wheels will be registered from 9 a.m. to noon. All events will be held outdoors. Food will be available. “Stendal — a nice little drive.” There will be more details as the event draws closer.
Just a reminder, the rescheduled date for the Putting Against Cancer golf scramble is Saturday, June 27.
