Lakelyn Grace Rainey was baptized Sunday morning during the morning worship service.  She is the daughter of Tyler and Breanne Rainey. She has two brothers, Remington and Canyon. Grandparents are Brad and Michelle McCain, Holly and the late Rusty Rainey and Scott and Sherry Sollman. Great-grandparents are Carolyn Weitkamp, Janice Rainey and Sue Eisenhut. The godparents are Jeff Meece and Lisa Montgomery. A dinner was served at the church following the morning service.

Laura Hemmer, Cincinnati, spent the weekend here with family members. She returned to her home, Sunday.

Practices continue at the church for the Christmas Eve service.

The Festival of Trees continues at the Dubois County Museum. Zoar, among other communities, have a decorated tree there. Stop by and see all the trees if you have an opportunity.

There will be a Women’s Night of Worship on Friday evening beginning at the church at 7:30 p.m. It will be a time to get away, relax and reflect on the beauty of the season. It will feature candlelight, scripture and music. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

Those who wish to go caroling on Sunday evening should meet at the church at 3 p.m. The group will visit nursing homes and make a few other stops. After the caroling, there will be a gathering at the home of Ron and Becky Brockriede for food and fellowship.

Just a reminder! The women of the church have their new cookbook ready for sale. They also have pecans for your holiday baking and Rada knives to sell. Any of these items make great gifts.
