Zachary Barrett and McKensie Ayer were married Saturday, Feb. 23, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Santa Claus. Parents of the bridal couple are Scott and Carla Barrett and Doug and Angie Ayer. Following the afternoon wedding, the wedding reception was held at the Santa Claus American Legion. The couple will make their home in Evansville.

Corey Goeppner had wonderful success at the Charger invitational wrestling tourney on Feb. 24. Corey pinned all five of his opponents and was named Pike Central’s most valuable wrestler for the meet. He is the son of Jason and Beth Goeppner.

Attendance was good with 43 youth and 18 adults this past week at EPIC. The menu for Wednesday evening will be spaghetti with garlic sticks, salad and fruit.

Jill and Luella Booth, Evansville, visited their grandmother, Delores Hemmer, on Thursday afternoon.

Janet Hemmer attended the funeral service for her aunt, Tillie Niehaus, at Nass & Son Funeral Home on Saturday morning.

Forty-two family members and friends gathered Saturday evening at the Duff Conservation Club to help Greg Mason celebrate his 50th birthday. A photo booth, puzzles, games and food kept guests entertained. The event was hosted by Greg’s wife, Diane.

Ash Wednesday services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Zoar. The joint Lenten services will begin at Holland UMC Sunday evening with supper at 5:30 p.m. and the study at 6 p.m.
