Easton Louis Muldoon made his appearance into the world at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018. Easton was born at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio, and weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Easton is the son of Mike and Tai Muldoon of Richmond. Grandparents are Rachel and Ron Hughes of Richmond and the late Gary Walton. Delores Hemmer and the late Ralph Hemmer are the great-grandparents. Easton has a big brother, Hudson.
The EPIC group met Wednesday evening at the church. Thirty-six youth attended and there were 19 adult teachers, cooks and helpers. The menu for this Wednesday’s supper will be scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy and apple slices.
Laura Hemmer arrived Friday night to spend the weekend with her mother and other family members. A family dinner was held at noon Sunday to celebrate the birthday of Max Marshall, the son of Jeremy and Erin Marshall. Max had two sisters that helped with the party, Maddie and Cami.
Todd Horton of Evansville picked up a load of Bibles and Christian literature on Friday, Oct. 12. Included in the load were several boxes of Bibles and dictionaries collected by Sandra Hopf. Horton will be delivering the material that he picked up to Love Packages at Butler, Illinois. Love Packages will ship it in containers overseas where it will be distributed to pastors and teachers with few Bibles and very little Christian literature. There may be some pastors who do not have a Bible and are really happy to receive one.
The United Methodist Women’s fall auction will be held Tuesday evening. This is always an evening of fun and all are invited. The event will be held at the church and begins at 7 p.m.
The date for the fall flea market at Stendal has been set for Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Stendal Community Center. Food will be available from breakfast at 7:30 a.m. to soups, sandwiches and desserts throughout the day by the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Group. Be sure and mark your calendars for this one.
The Halloween party at the church will be held Thursday, Oct. 25. Serving of the short order supper begins at 6:30 p.m. with costume judging to begin at 7:30 p.m. Costume judging categories are prettiest, cutest, ugliest, Bible character, most original and best overall.
