A benefit meal and silent auction is being held for Dena Kamman-Rasche on Sept. 30 at the Teen Outback in Huntingburg. Tickets for the barbecue chicken dinners are $10 and are being sold through Sept. 23. The tickets must be pre-purchased. People may do so by calling 812-630-6543. There will be a silent auction going on at the time of pickup for meals between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Eternal Purpose In Christ group will be starting again on Sept. 19. All youth from grades one through 12 are welcome to participate. This is the sixth year of EPIC and everyone involved is excited for new opportunities this year.

Delores Hemmer returned late Saturday evening with her daughter, Rachel Hughes, from a week-long visit with her daughters in Cincinnati and Richmond. While in Richmond, she helped welcome a new great-grandbaby. The little princess was born at the McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and has been given the name Guinevere Elizabeth Ann. She has a big brother, Felix Steven. Guinevere is the daughter of Chase and Christy Walton and the granddaughter of Ron and Rachel Hemmer Hughes, all of Richmond.

A worship service will be held in Holland Park on Sunday morning. This is in conjunction with the Holland Fest that will be held this weekend. There will be no worship service at Zoar Sunday; parishioners will be joining in worship at the park.

Zoar will be having a food stand at the Holland Fest. Contact Ruth Blackgrove if able to help at the fest.
