Tim and Cheryl Hilsmeyer traveled to Indianapolis Friday to receive the Hoosier Homestead Award. The award is presented to farm families whose farms have been in the same family for over 100 years. Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch presented the award at the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
The drive-thru dinner at the church Saturday evening was a huge success. All of the dinners were sold well before the end of the pick-up time. The next event will be a fish dinner, featuring the popular Zoar Mosquito Fest fish. The meal will be held Sept. 25 and will be another drive-thru-type meal. More details will be available soon.
Weekend visitors at Meadowtop Farm were Rachel Hughes, Tai and Easton Muldoon, Richmond and Daryl, Jill, Luella and Evelyn Booth, Evansville.
Gathering for dinner in Huntingburg Saturday evening were Mekensie Hilsmeyer, Indianapolis, Travis and Kate LaMar and Keith and Denise Oser, Holland.
