A friend of Love Packages has offered to match any donations during the months of July and August up to the amount of $50,000 for the purchase of Bibles.  Donations should be sent to Love Packages, 220 Union St., Butler IL 62015. Love Packages will use the monies as wisely as possible to obtain as many Bibles as they can. These Bibles and other Christian materials are shipped to countries where there is a great need for the Bibles and materials.

The Weitkamp reunion normally held on Labor Day Sunday has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 crisis. The Wibbeler reunion held in August at the church each year has been cancelled as well. Both reunions hope to be able to meet in 2021.

The YouTube site for those who are continuing to quarantine at home, but wish to see the Sunday morning service is Zoar UMC Holland, Indiana.

Just a reminder that the drive-thru meal that is replacing this year’s Mosquito Fest will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the church. The meal will consist of smoked pork chops, German potato salad and baked beans. Homemade ice cream, coffee cakes and cookbooks will be available as well.
