The Way of the Cross will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, during Lent at St. Celestine Catholic Church. St. Raphael Catholic Church will meet after the 8 a.m. on Mass on Wednesday, March 20, 27 and April 3.
Area priests will be available for confession at the Deanery services:
• Sunday, March 29: 4 p.m., St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
• Tuesday, March 31: 6:30 p.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper.
• Wednesday, April 1: Noon, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper.
In addition to the usual confession times of before weekend Masses, Father Jeff will be in the confessional from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at St. Raphael Catholic Church and from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in St. Celstine Catholic Church.
Easter egg hunts
Easter egg hunts will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 29, at St. Celestine Catholic Church and from 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
More information about a breakfast will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Youth Ministry events
Youth Group: Grades five and six. Students will meet at St. Celestine Catholic Church from 6 to 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 18. A light dinner will be provided for them. Plans are being worked out for perhaps a Passion play or praying the Stations together. The community will be invited for this at 7:45 p.m.
Rock Your Faith: Grades six and eight (2020-21) June 7-10. Deadline to register is May 7.
Catholic Heart Work Camp, June 21-26, Nashville, Tennessee. Cost is $415 (participant pays $175, Youth Appeal pays remaining $240). Deadline to register is March 20, 2020. Spots are filling quickly! Contact Connie Matheis today to reserve a spot! After the March 20 deadline, the parish will forfeit remaining spots so the deposit can be returned.
Source and Summit: April 17-19, Mater Dei High School, Evansville. Topic is “I Tell You the Truth!” Features Fr. Josh Waltz, Fr. Joe Freedy, Giancarlo Bernini and Sr. Anne, CSJ, with many other dynamic speakers. To know the Truth, you must seek the Truth! Friends, fellowship, prayer, faith and FUN! Ages 13 and up. Deadline to register is March 30.

First Reconciliation: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at St. Raphael Catholic Church for the First Communion class.
Vacation Bible School: 8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 15 to 18, at St. Celestine Campus. Registration forms will be mailed in April along with the religious education registration forms. Registration forms also will be available on the website.
Saturday Evening Mass
Starting April 18, Saturday Evening Mass will take place at St. Celestine until Oct. 10.
Holy Week schedule
Holy Thursday, April 9: 6:30 p.m., St. Raphael Catholic Church.
Good Friday, April 10: 6 p.m., St. Raphael Catholic Church.
Holy Saturday, April 11: 9 p.m. at St. Raphael Church.
Easter Sunday, April 12: 8 a.m. at St. Celestine Catholic Church and 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
Easter egg sale
The Dubois Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will again be having its Easter egg sale. Cost is $3 per dozen. Place orders by contacting any auxiliary member. Committee members are Jami Kalb (812-678-4607), Jami Eichmiller (812-678-2279) and Nikki Haefling (812-639-8420). All proceeds go to the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department. Orders will be taken until March 29.
St. Isidore parish announces the parish recipients of the Diocese St. Maria Goretti Youth Distinction Award are Adrienne Betz, daughter of Mike and Christine Betz, and Emily Merkley, daughter of Jim and Crystal Merkley.
The recognition by the diocese will be a Mass for recipients at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the St. Benedict Cathedral at Evansville.
The St. Raphael and St. Celestine Conference of the St. Vincent De Paul Society is holding a food drive during Lent. Boxes are in place at the entrances of St. Raphael Catholic Church and in front of the altar of St. Celestine Catholic Church. Donations will be delivered to the food bank. Monetary donations will be accepted.

The Celestine Community Club has these events scheduled at the club this spring.

March 20: Celestine Park’s annual shoot and fish fry.

April 3: Good Shepherd of the Hill Knights of Columbus shoot and fish fry.

The club kitchen will open at 6 p.m. The closed match is at 8 p.m.

Northeast School Corp.
Good luck to the Northeast Dubois High School boys basketball team as they continue their journey in the ISHAA basketball tourney. They play at Loogootee on Saturday.
Spring break for the Northeast Dubois schools will be March 23 through March 27.
