Good luck to the Northeast Dubois High School boys basketball team as they continue in the Indiana High School Athletic Association basketball tourney at Springs Valley tonight.
The one-night sheephead tourneys will continue Friday, March 6, at the club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., plays begins at 7 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available. The tourney is open to the public.
Parish fish fry
St. Isidore Parish will hold a fish fry on Friday, March 6, in the dining hall of St. Celestine Campus. Serving of the fish dinners will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m., or until gone.
Cost is $10 per plate. Meals will consist of catfish fillets, German fries, green beans and bread. Homemade desserts will be served for dine-in only. A drive-thru or dine-in will be available.
Proceeds will benefit the religious education program of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at Northeast Dubois High School on Monday, March 9. Anyone interested in donating should sign up in the high school office.
D of I Jasper Circle 140
The Daughters of Isabella Jasper Circle 140 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9, in Room 301 at St. Joseph Parish Center, Jasper. All Catholic women of the parishes of St. Isidore, Divine Mercy, St. Mary in Ireland and Huntingburg, Precious Blood, St. Joseph and Holy Family are invited to join the Jasper Circle of the Daughters of Isabella. K of C meeting notice
Good Shepherd of the Hills K of C Council will hold its regular business meeting at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the lower level of Happy Hour Sports Bar and Grill. Any Catholic gentleman interested in learning more about the benefits of becoming a K of C member is welcome to come to the Happy Hour at 7 p.m. prior to the meeting or send an email to email@example.com.
St. Isidore parish announces the parish recipients of the Diocese St. Maria Goretti Youth Distinction Award are Adrienne Betz, daughter of Mike and Christine Betz, and Emily Merkley, daughter of Jim and Crystal Merkley.
The recognition by the diocese will be a Mass for recipients at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the St. Benedict Cathedral at Evansville.
The St. Raphael and St. Celestine Conference of the St. Vincent De Paul Society is holding a food drive during Lent. Boxes are in place at the entrances of St. Raphael Catholic Church and in front of the altar of St. Celestine Catholic Church. Donations will be delivered to the food bank. Monetary donations will be accepted.

Dubois Middle School student Kaylei Carie will be competing in the Regional Scripps Spelling Bee at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at The Academy of Innovative Studies, Evansville.

April 17: Celestine Volunteer Fire Department’s annual shoot.
The club kitchen will open at 6 p.m. The closed match is at 8 p.m.
