Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the kitchen opening at 6 p.m. The kitchen will be preparing favorites such as fried chicken, fried chicken livers and gizzards, fried fish, tenderloins, hamburgers and sides.

The closed match will begin at 8 p.m. The kitchen is asking for members of the club to bring a pies to be sold at the shoots.

D of I Jasper Circle 140

The Daughters of Isabella Jasper Circle 140 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in Room 301 of the St. Joseph Parish Center in Jasper.

The D of I Jasper Circle 140 will conduct their dressing sale this fall. Orders can be placed through Saturday, Oct. 19, by calling Kathy Schneider at 812-630-2616 or Betty Mehringer at 812-482-3661. Cost is $15 per gallon; a half gallon is $8. The dressing is prepared raw, not baked and with no sage added. Pick up will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the St. Joseph Parish Center, Jasper.

K of C meeting notice

There will be a Knights of Columbus officers’ meeting at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the St. Celestine Catholic Church Dining Hall. A regular business meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Happy Hour Sports Bar & Grill basement.

Any Catholic gentleman interested in learning more about the benefits of becoming a K of C member is welcome to come to Happy Hour at 7 p.m. prior to the meeting or send an email to council13623@indianakofc.org.

Bake sale

There will be a bake sale to benefit Celestine Elementary PTO on Sept. 14 and 15 after all the Masses until sold out.

Anyone wanting to donate food items can bring them to Celestine Elementary School on Friday, Sept. 13, or to the back of church before the Masses. Use only non-refrigerated items.

Flu shots

Flu shots are being offered after the Masses on Sunday, Sept. 22. Shots will take place at 8 a.m. in St. Celestine Catholic Church’s cry room and at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church’s basement. Insurance cards will be needed. Blood sugar and blood pressure checks are offered for free.

Community yard sales

The Celestine community fall yard sales will be held Sept. 27 and 28. Anyone interested in having a yard sale can contact Kristy Buechler at 812-481-2251 no later than Monday, Sept. 23, in order to get the location on the map.

Confirmation students

There will be a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for all juniors in St. Isidore Parish making Confirmation.

Reconciliation will be held from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at St. Celestine Catholic Church. Beginning at 7 p.m., a Confirmation dinner will be held in the St. Celestine Church dining hall. Confirmation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Celestine Church during the 4:30 p.m. Mass.

Rosary trail

The rosary will continue to be prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the St. Raphael’s Rosary Trail through October. All are welcome to join.
