Nineteen people from St. Isidore Parish will be attending Rock Your Faith at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper this week.
They would like to thank all the adults who volunteered their time and they pray for all to have a safe and faith-filled week.
Kickoff and family activities will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Buses will load between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday. Buses will load at 11:45 a.m. CT for St. Meinrad. Participants will do activities between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
All are invited to attend a fellowship breakfast on Sunday, July 7, after the 8 a.m. Mass at the St. Celestine Dining Hall. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, German potatoes, biscuits with gravy and fruit salad will be served. The breakfast is sponsored by the Good Shepherd of the Hills Knights of Columbus. A freewill offering will be taken to help purchase sonogram machines to deter abortions.
The Leaders of Tomorrow and Celestine All Stars 4-H clubs will hold their final meeting before the Dubois County 4-H Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, for the swim party and record signing at the Celestine Community Club Lake. The whole family is welcome to attend.
K of C notices
The Knights of Columbus officers’ meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, in the Happy Hour Sports Bar & Grill lower level.
Any Catholic gentleman interested in learning more about the benefits of becoming a K of C member is welcome to come at 7 p.m. prior to th meeeting or contact Ted Schnackertz at 812-389-2529 or email to email@example.com .
Vacation Bible school
Vacation Bible school is planned July 22 to 25. The theme is “Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth.”
Activities will take place daily between 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. at St. Celestine Campus. A light lunch will be served from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
Snack items needed are Dixie bathroom paper cups, chips (Doritos, corn chips, Cheetos, small cheese crackers, Goldfish), plain M&Ms, mini marshmallows, fruit (bananas, grapes, apples, strawberries), carrot sticks and Kool-Aid (no red).
Drive up the west side of church next to Celestine Elementary School. Children can be picked up at the steps on the west side of church facing the school. Stay in line with cars so the school can keep the children from running in the parking lot.
On Monday, meet inside church at 5:30 p.m.
All other days, meet in your classroom at 5:30 p.m.
No children are to arrive before 5 p.m. There will be no supervision. If they arrive at 5 p.m. for the lunch, they must remain in the hall until 5:30 p.m.
Wear athletic shoes every day. No sandals or flip flops are allowed.
The school is unable to accept any late registrations due to ordering supplies, crafts and shirts.

Set-up and decorating of classrooms:
Thursday, July 11: 10 a.m.-noon or 12:30-2:30 p.m. Anyone who is available to help set up classrooms is welcome.
The Strengthening Families Program, which is for parents and youth ages 10 through 14, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, July 23, Aug. 6. 13, 20, 27 and Sept. 3, at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Dubois.
Sponsored by Purdue Extension, this free program focuses on strengthening their family. A light supper will be provided each night at 5:30 p.m.

St. Isidore Parish will host a reception honoring Sisters Susan and Jill Reuber, who are siblings, on Sunday, Aug. 4, following the 8 a.m. Mass in the St. Celestine Dining Hall.
Jill and Susan are the daughters of Paul and Linda Reuber of Celestine.
Pool, pizza party
The pool and pizza party will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Jasper Swimming Pool. Pizza will be served in the park.
Bishop Joseph Siegel will preside at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Aug. 17, at St. Celestine Catholic Church. Fr. Jeff Read will be installed pastor of St. Isidore Parish. A welcome reception will follow Mass in the Celestine Dining Hall. Sorry about the incorrect use of the parish name last week.
The Dubois Branch Library announces their halfway-into summer winners in the reading part of the Summer Learning Program. These winners were chosen from everyone who was entered in at Dubois Branch Library that had met their goal by June 29.
The winners were Leo Seger, $20 value in gift cards to Servus restaurants; Jaelynn Evans, 10 32-ounce fountain drinks from Circle A; and Hallie Boehm, five passes to Dubois Bombers’ home games.
The library reminds all to keep reading and bringing in their paper reading logs to the library for tickets to be put in for the prizes or to record the books they are reading on Beanstalk and put their tickets in the digital prize area of the app to win the great prizes. The summer learning program ends on July 19.

Bus trip sign-up
Seats are available for the girls-only Nashville show trip for three days and two nights via Diamond Tours Motorcoach for a girls only trip on Monday to Wednesday, Dec. 2 through 4.
Cost of the trip is $390, based on double occupancy. Contact Denise Hohler at 812-630-0752 by Friday, July 5, for additional information or to make reservations.
The motorcoach is video and restroom equipped. The trip includes motorcoach transportation with two nights lodging, four meals (two breakfasts and two dinners); a guided tour of Nashville, including the Parthenon; admission to the Grand Ole Opry behind the scenes tour; a visit to Opry Mills for a “shoppertainment”; two shows (the Grand Ole Opry and Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theater); ride on the Delta Flatboats inside the Opryland Hotel; and much more. The amount of $75 is due upon signing. Final payment is due Sept. 25.
