The Celestine Community Club has several spring shoots:
Friday, April 5: Community club.
Friday, April 12: Knights of Columbus.
Friday, April 26: Celestine Fire Department.
The doors will open at 5 p.m. for the shoots, and the kitchen will open at 6 p.m. Closed matches begin at 8 p.m. All are invited to come out and support these wonderful organizations that do so much for the parish and community.
The fellowship breakfast will be Sunday, April 7, at St. Celestine Dining Hall after the 8 a.m. Mass. All are welcome to join for some great food and fellowship. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, German potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and fruit salad will be served.
The breakfast is sponsored by the Good Shepherd of the Hills K of C Council. A freewill offering will be taken to help purchase sonogram machines to deter abortions.
The Northeast Dubois Band will be selling barbecued dinners on Sunday, April 7, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until sold out. Dinners will be sold in the Northeast Dubois’ maintenance parking lot, located next to Dubois Elementary. Dinners will include pulled barbecue pork, baked potato, green beans and bread. Desserts also will be available for purchase.
D of I Circle 140
The Daughters of Isabella Jasper Circle 140 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, in Room 301 at St. Joseph Parish Center, Jasper. All Catholic women from the circle’s area of parishes in Jasper, Huntingburg, Ireland, Celestine, Dubois, Schnellville and St. Anthony are invited to join the D of I. Mass schedule changes
Tuesday, April 9: No evening Mass due to the Deanery Reconciliation service.
Tuesday, April 9: Mass will be at 10:30am at St. Celestine with the Celestine release-time students. All are welcome.
Friday, April 12: Mass will be at 8 a.m. at St. Celestine.
Friday, April 12: Due to the funeral last week, First Friday Mass and breakfast at Happy Hour were moved.
Tuesday, April 16: No evening Mass due to the Diocese Chrism Mass.

Rice bags, food drive
St. Isidore Parish will again be passing around rice bags at all Masses. Any spare change that you have can add up to make a huge difference.
There are baskets at the altar of St. Celestine Church for the St. Vincent DePaul food drive. Any donation of nonperishable food items is appreciated.
The Leaders of Tomorrow and Celestine All Stars 4-H clubs will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Celestine Community Club. New members are always welcome.
K of C meeting notices
The next regular business meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the Happy Hour Sports Bar and Grill’s lower level. This is the last meeting before the largest fundraiser of the year, which is the fish fry and shoot. All members are invited to attend.
Any Catholic gentleman interested in learning more about the benefits of becoming a K of C member is welcome to come to the Happy Hour at 7 p.m. prior to the meeting. For additional information, contact Ted Schnackertz at 812-389-2529 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Easter egg hunts
Easter egg hunts will be held after the 8 a.m. Mass Sunday, April 7, at St. Celestine Catholic Church and after the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday, April 14, at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
The Celestine Park will host its annual rabies and distemper vaccinations clinic from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 8. The cost is $12 each for the rabies and distemper shots. These shots will be administered by Dr. Dan Hasenour, DVM.
Easter egg sale
The Dubois Volunteer Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary is selling colored Easter eggs for $3 per dozen. Contact Jami Eichmiller at 812-678-2279 or Jami Kalb at 812-678-4607 if interested. Orders will be taken until Wednesday, April 10. All proceeds go to the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department.
Fish fry, shooting match
Good Shepherd of the Hills K of C Council 13623 will hold its 15th annual fundraising fish fry and shooting match on Friday, April 12.
Drive-thru catfish dinners will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. The $10 fish dinner includes a generous portion of fried catfish, homemade German fries, slaw and bread. Dine-in and carryout service begins at 6 p.m. and will feature fish dinners, chicken dinners and hamburgers.
The event will feature a closed shooting match at 8 p.m. First choice is a one-half beef; beef and pork choices will be offered thereafter.
The Good Shepherd Council serves the St. Isidore Parish, St. Celestine and St. Raphael churches and the local communities through numerous charitable projects and programs. All proceeds fund its charitable works.
Way of the Cross
The Knights of Columbus will be leading the Way of the Cross for children at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Northeast Dubois High School prom and post prom will be held Saturday, April 13.
The sixth-grade religious education class at Celestine will be hosting for their Make a Difference Project bake sale on Sunday, April 14, at St. Celestine Church, following the 8 a.m. Mass. Proceeds will go to LIFE Family Resource Center in Paoli.
The American Red Cross will conduct a blood Drive from 7 a.m. to midnight Sunday, April 14, in the St. Celestine Dining Hall.
Breakfast at St. Raphael
A breakfast will be held Sunday, April 14, in St. Raphael Catholic Church basement following the 10 a.m. Mass. All are welcome to join us for some great food and fellowship. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures. Freewill offerings will be taken for a Make A Difference Project to help a family in need.
